Fred Fiddle
Fred Fiddle is a Managing Director, Head of Weeden’s Capital Markets and the firm’s Equity Linked Sales and Trading business. Fred’s distinguished 23-year career at Merrill Lynch & Co. earned him a reputation for excellence accentuated by his expertise in all aspects of Fixed Income products.
Since 2001, Fiddle acted as the Managing Director and Head of Equity Linked Origination for the Americas at Merrill Lynch & Co. Under his leadership, the group was responsible for the origination of both Convertible Securities and Equity Derivatives. In this capacity, he worked closely with both investment banking and corporate clients, cultivating successful and dynamic partnerships.
Fred was Co-Head of Global Equity Linked Products for the Americas from 1999-2001. In this role, Fiddle served as a producing Sales and Trading manager for all Equity Linked Securities building the firm into a leader among peers.
From 1986-1999 Fred was a Convertible Bond/Preferred salesman covering many of the firm’s most important accounts where he was consistently distinguished as the top producing salesman in the group.
Before joining Merrill Lynch & Co., Fiddle held various positions at Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co. (KPMG), where he focused on audit, tax, and advisory services. During this time, Fred attained his C.P.A.
Fred is the Co-founder of The Daniel Jordan Fiddle Foundation, Inc., the first national autism organization with the mission to develop and award grants to programs that provide opportunities for adolescents and adults with autism to participate in all aspects of community life. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees in the role of Vice President and Treasurer.
Fred graduated from Syracuse University, cum laude, with a B.S. in Accounting.
Fred resides in Ridgewood, New Jersey with his wife Linda and daughter.
