Ellen K. Hannan

Ellen K. Hannan joined Weeden & Co. in June 2008 as Senior Energy Analyst of E&P Research. Ellen was recognized by Institutional Investor as one of the top analysts in her sector in 2006 and 2007. She was named to the II All-America Independent Research Team for 2009. StarMine / Forbes named Ellen to its annual “Best Analysts” list for 2005 as a top-ranked sector analyst for accuracy with earnings estimates, and she has also been distinguished in The Wall Street Journal’s “Best on the Street” survey as well as the Greenwich Associates survey for stock picking.

Ellen is a member of the National Association for Petroleum Investment Analysts and the Oil Analysts Group of New York. She brings to Weeden more than 20 years of sell and buy-side experience in covering the E&P sector, in identifying macro trends within the energy sector, and in producing high quality investment ideas and conclusions for institutional investment managers.

She began her career with Texaco, where she spent 8 years in financial planning and analysis. Ellen subsequently moved to the sell side and was most recently with Bear Stearns, where she was Managing Director and Senior Analyst of the same industry.

Ms. Hannan graduated from Skidmore College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and earned an MBA from Pace University.
