Geoff Kieburtz

Geoff Kieburtz joined Weeden & Co. in July 2008 as Senior Energy Analyst. Geoff has followed the Oilfield Service & Equipment Industry as a sell-side analyst since 1992. He was previously a managing director and senior analyst at Citi Investment Research, where he worked for 15 years following the oilfield service and equipment industry. Prior to that, from 1988 to 1992, Geoff worked for Marakon Associates, a management consulting firm. From 1978 to 1986, Geoff worked for Schlumberger as field engineer, location manager, and in various managerial positions in the Wireline division, with International assignments in Norway, the UK, Pakistan, and Egypt.

Geoff has received repeated recognition from Institutional Investor, The Wall Street Journal and other publications for the quality of his research. He was named to the II All-America Independent Research Team for 2009 as one of the leading analysts covering Oil Services & Equipment.

Mr. Kieburtz holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and a Master’s degree in management from the Yale School of Management.
