Jin W. Ho
Jin W. Ho is a Managing Director and Head of Weeden’s Fixed Income Research. Prior to joining Weeden, Jin founded Edge Asset Management, a $100-million long/short hedge fund. He was also the Head of High Yield for ABP Investments U.S., the largest Dutch pension fund which he joined in 2001 and founded the firm’s U.S. High Yield operations in New York growing assets under management to $500 million by the end of 2002.
From 1997-2001, Jin was a general partner at Appaloosa Management, an event-driven hedge fund. At Appaloosa, Jin’s primary areas of concentration were domestic and foreign investments in high yield bonds, bank loans and equities.
From 1983-1997, Jin was a Managing Director of High Yield Investment at Putnam Investments. While at Putnam, he managed most of the high-yield flagship funds including Putnam High Yield Trust (1987-1996), Putnam High Yield Advantage (1987-1996), Putnam Diversified Income Trust, Putnam Premier Income Trust and High Income Convertible Trust. Jin also managed $300 million for Putnam’s largest high yield institutional account. Additionally, he was a member of the Executive, Interest Rate, Fixed Income Strategy, and New Product Development Committees.
Mr. Ho has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Claremont McKenna College.
